Council of Deacons Welcomes New Members, Looks Ahead to 2026
The Council of Deacons met on January 13 to welcome new members, confirm officer roles, and start putting together the church's calendar for the year ahead.
Three new Deacon Members joined the council: Marlon Decillo, Aldrin Maravilla, and Che Sto. Domingo. We're grateful for their willingness to serve and look forward to working alongside them as we care for the church and its ministries together.
The council also confirmed its newly elected officers: Vina Rosales as Vice Chair, Che Sto. Domingo as Secretary, and Marlon Decillo as Treasurer.
Ministry representatives were affirmed as well. These assignments help make sure each ministry has a dedicated point of contact and support from the council:
Audit – Irene Co. Soriano
Children's Ministry – Che T. Sto. Domingo
Engineering / Maintenance – Jonathan Ong, Rey Rabi
Events – Nets Galario
Finance – Marlon Decillo
Fundraising – Aldrin Maravilla
Gym / Sports – Philip Tugado
Membership – Vina Rosales
Multimedia – Leon Pilapil
Music – Leon Pilapil
Service Leading – Jon Tuason (transitioning to Marlon Decillo)
Transportation – Rey Rabi
Ushering – Vina Rosales
The council also discussed the first draft of church-wide events for 2026. A preliminary shortlist includes gatherings such as Couples Valentine’s, Worship Nights throughout the year, conferences, Bible reading, Youth Camp, Family Day, movie screenings, and seasonal events from February through December. The group also talked about the return of the Vesper service this year.
